Ligament Injury Recovery & Stability

Ligament tears and sprains can sideline you from daily life and sport. At Ultraphysiocare, our physiotherapists deliver structured rehabilitation programmes to restore joint stability, strength, and confidence — whether you've had surgery or are recovering conservatively.

What Is a Ligament Injury?

Ligaments are tough, fibrous bands connecting bones across a joint, providing stability and limiting excessive movement. A ligament injury occurs when these bands are overstretched or torn — commonly in the knee (ACL, PCL, MCL), ankle, shoulder, or wrist — resulting in pain, swelling, instability, and reduced function.

Grades range from mild stretching (Grade I) to a complete rupture (Grade III). Physiotherapy is essential for all grades — it reduces inflammation, rebuilds joint proprioception and strength, and prevents long-term instability that can lead to arthritis or recurrent injury.

Who Can Benefit?

  • Athletes with ACL, PCL, or MCL tears requiring pre/post-surgical rehab
  • Individuals with ankle ligament sprains and recurrent instability
  • Patients with shoulder or wrist ligament injuries from falls or trauma
  • Those seeking conservative (non-surgical) management of partial tears
  • People experiencing joint instability, giving way, or swelling after injury
